Consultancy
We offer bespoke consultancy services – from a single-day advice session, right through to a comprehensive solution that includes initial site visits and inspection. Profect can tailor a package to suit your needs as well as your budget – finding cost-effective ways to implement systems to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses, ensure environmental protection and quality assurance, and at the same time meet compliance with legislation and regulations.
We work in collaboration with a number of retained clients, large and small, as their Health & Safety Advisor and recognised ‘Competent Person’ [as required by law under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999]. These meaningful, long-term relationships enable the businesses to benefit from our extensive skills, resources and experience, at a fraction of the cost of employing a full-time, in-house Health & Safety Manager.
In addition, Profect specialises in the development, delivery and management of:
– Rescue Plans for confined space and working at height
– Site & Task specific risk assessments, method statements for confined space and working at height
The team of consultants at Profect call upon years of experience to provide a deep level of knowledge and skills that complement each other. All are members of professionally recognised bodies such as the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH), International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM), Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), Association of Project Safety (APS).
Training
We deliver both accredited and in-house training, including: confined space, emergency rescue of casualties, working at height, rescue at height.
We are an approved City & Guilds Centre
A host of courses are held regularly at Profect’s dedicated training facility in Hull. In addition, we are more than happy to deliver many courses at your workplace or preferred location.
We are lucky enough to have some of the most uniquely qualified and experienced trainers we could wish for. And we are super proud of these people that help to make our business what it is – from their exceptional knowledge and outstanding levels of practical, hands-on expertise, to their engaging delivery style and attention to detail.
Testing
Drug and Alcohol Tests:
We offer a comprehensive range of on-site drug and alcohol tests, laboratory testing services, drug awareness training, and policy development services.
Quantitative Face Fit Tests:
Face Fit Testing ensures that an adequate seal can be formed between the face seal of the chosen respirator and the wearer’s face. After conducting a workplace assessment, it is no longer enough to merely supply a respirator which meets a particular standard. It is the employer’s duty to ensure that an employee can obtain an effective face seal with the chosen RPE. No two faces are the same and therefore, despite advances in respiratory technology, one tight fitting respirator will not fit everyone.
